Headquartered in Sacramento, California, BH Inc. was founded by Brian Henrish, a renewable energy consultant originally from Scotland. Brian’s journey began with hands-on fieldwork in wind and solar projects across the Scottish Highlands and evolved into large-scale consulting for clean energy transitions across Europe. From a modest start in the UK, BH Inc. has grown into a trusted name in clean energy innovation, known for delivering solar, wind, battery storage, and hybrid energy solutions across multiple continents.

Expansion into the United States
In 2017, BH Inc. expanded operations into the United States, establishing a regional hub in Sacramento , California. This move allowed the company to enter one of the world’s most dynamic clean energy markets.

Brian Henrish Founder & CEO – BH Inc. Born and raised in Scotland, Brian Henrish is a respected voice in the renewable energy sector. With decades of experience leading complex energy projects across Europe and North America, he brings both technical depth and strategic vision. Brian is driven by a single goal: to help the world transition to clean, affordable, and reliable energy—while ensuring that the communities involved also thrive. He remains hands-on with BH Inc.’s leadership and is frequently called upon as an advisor on renewable energy policy and innovation.
A family firm of consulting engineers, established in 2007, many of our staff have a long association with the UK construction sector and have successfully designed and specified numerous commercial and domestic renewable and M&E projects throughout the UK. We are featured on National Frameworks to allow public sector clients to comply with procurement legislation without the need for full tendering exercises.
Our services are also geared towards helping our property clients meet a variety of standards across the UK, from Net Zero in Government Agencies to EESSH2, Better Homes and Private Rented Sector regulations. Since 2007 we have specified and overseen the installation of thousands of MW/h of renewable electricity generation and renewable heat through wind & solar photovoltaics, solar thermal, ground and air source heat pumps, biomass as well as low carbon options in gas, lpg and air conditioning systems.
We believe in offering our clients a turnkey service which will deliver and exceed their expectations. From the start of the project until the end, our key staff will ensure that projects are designed and specified as agreed and delivered on time and on budget. We are also delighted to advise our clients on how to deliver on Net Zero, pointing out the pros and cons of doing so, but ensuring that the data held on their own properties is robust enough to plan all the way to 2050.
